Camiguin This island has become almost synonymous to White Sand, the tiny sandbar off the coast of the town of Mambajao. But on the other side of the province exists a real island with prestine white sand beach- the Mantigue Island a small island located about 3.5 kilometres off the coast of volcanic island of Camiguin. Named as Magsaysay Island before, this 4 hectares island is filled with tropical trees and surrounded with prestine white sand beach and crystal clear walter. A declared marine sanctuary, the water around the island is teeming with marine life making it ideal for diving and snorkeling. Mantigue Island is just a 20-minute boat ride from mainland Camiguin. Boats can be hired to take you there from Barangay San Roque in the town of Mahinog for P600 round-trip, good for six people and an environment fee of P50 each to help protect and maintain the beautiful island.
