The Journey

"Starbucks ® Single Origin Sulawesi Toraja."

Starbucks Origin Sulawesi Toraja. “Sweet, silky elegance with notes of black sesame and  marshmallows” The history of coffee in Indonesia began with a bit of intrigue. In 1690, Dutch traders smuggled coffee plants out of the Arab port city of Mocha, hoping to break the Arabian monopoly on coffee production. Their sailing ships eventually carried the seedlings over thousands of miles to Indonesia, then a Dutch colony. The coffee trees thrived in the archipelago’s rich volcanic soil and the warm tropical climate, and Indonesian coffees were soon being embraced in coffeehouses around the world. Three centuries later, Indonesia’s islands continue to produce some of the world’s most extraordinary coffees, each with its own terroir, or “taste of place.” The company has been collaborating with the island’s coffee growers since 1996 and helping build the Sapan Kindergarten in Tana Toraja. From the Indonesia’s orchid-shaped island of Sulawesi, coffee in th...

"Starbucks Ethiopia"

The story of coffee begins where the green coffee bean hidden in the red coffee cherry of the coffee tree , for some they call it magical, and no matter how it was jealously or greedily guarded neither merchants, queens, kings or priests could keep it from spreading throughout the earth. Sooner and later we are captured by its aroma, acidity, body and flavor. Just  like the history of coffee,my first encounter was unexpected, from the cold mountain side of Bukidnon. Back when I was a child, Ive tried harvesting those coffee cherries and not knowing that it was the start of my coffee journey. We washed it and dried the cherries under the striking sun of Malaybalay, we crushed the coffee cherries to release the hidden green seeds that was coffee bean. Now, I realize how magical the coffee made my journey up to this day. From the hills of Ethiopia to the Marinas of Seattle, people around the globe drink their wonderful cup of coffee and prepare it in their won...

"STARBUCKS CHRISTMAS 2021 COFFEES "

FESTIVE SIPS WITH STARBUCKS CHRISTMAS COFFEES This holiday season, colorful bags of Starbucks holiday coffees arrive in every Starbucks store.  Starbucks Christmas Blend was introduced in 1984 and has been a holiday tradition at Starbucks even longer than the Peppermint Mocha or red holiday cups, loved for its special blend from Latin American and rare aged Sumatran beans. Starbucks Christmas Blend and Christmas Blend Espresso Roast offer fresh twists on the classic recipe. The packaging tells the story of more than three decades of coffee passion and craft that has been a part of Starbucks tradition. When Starbucks first introduced Christmas Blend, it was packed into plain brown paper bags to be brewed at home. But as Starbucks transformed from a whole-bean retailer to a coffeehouse, its bags became vessels for visual storytelling starting with decorative adhesive stamps and later with high-tech packaging that uses a printed laminated film, called “rollstock,” with a Flavo...
